Bursaries

Bursaries are available to pupils applying to join the School at Reception and in Years 1-6.

Our financial support is means-tested, so we will need to assess your circumstances before making a decision. Every family is different, so we consider each application individually rather than setting strict thresholds and criteria. We will take into account your sources and amount of income, your outgoings, the size of your family, the number of dependent children and your assets and liabilities. Our funds are limited, so we are not always able to offer as many bursaries as we would wish.

Bursary awards range in value according to financial need and the funds available for bursaries. As a rough guide, families with one child whose total household gross income is approximately £150,000 or more will not be eligible for bursary support.

Bursaries cover the cost of our school fees.
Costs such as coach travel, lunches, and educational school trips are not covered.

Every year, each bursary is subject to a means-test reassessment. The size of the award for the coming year will only be adjusted up or down if there has been a significant change to the family’s financial circumstances.  If your circumstances have changed very significantly and you would not qualify if applying now, your bursary may be withdrawn.
Families of bursary award holders are responsible for any remaining school fees not covered by the bursary award.

Bursaries are awarded in confidence.  However, many bursary students are happy to tell others and some act as ambassadors, encouraging others to apply or donate financially to the scheme.
